11. Fraudulent Claims and User Conduct
The Substitute reserves the right to block or suspend any user’s account from making future purchases if there is reasonable evidence of fraudulent claims, misuse of the services, or violation of these Terms. This includes, but is not limited to:
● Submitting false claims or chargebacks for purchased items.
● Engaging in any fraudulent activity related to payment, returns, or disputes.
● Using the website or services in a manner that harms the business or other users.
If we believe a user has committed fraud or violated our policies, we may, at our sole discretion, take appropriate action, including restricting access to our services, blocking future purchases,or initiating legal action if necessary.
12. Rewards & Loyalty Program Terms
Applicable to all users participating in “The Substitute Rewards Program.”
12.1 Eligibility
● The Rewards Program is available to customers with a valid account on www.thesubstitute.in.
● Only one account per customer is permitted. Duplicate, fake, or fraudulent accounts may be suspended.
12.2 Earning Points
Customers may earn points as follows:
● Signup → 1000 points
● Instagram Follow → 100 points
● Facebook Follow → 100 points
● Complete Profile→ 100 points
● YouTube Subscribe → 100 points
● Purchase → 1 point per ₹10 spent (after order fulfillment)
● Referral First Order (referrer) → 500 points
● Review through Judge.me → 1000 points
Conditions:
● Points for reviews apply only to verified purchases and approved reviews.
● Referral points apply only after the referred customer completes their order successfully.
● Points for social media actions require verification.
● Points are not awarded for cancelled, refunded, or failed orders.
12.3 Redemption of Points
● 100 points = ₹10 discount
● Maximum redemption per order: 2000 points (₹200)
● Points may be redeemed only during checkout.
● Points cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred, or gifted.● Points cannot be combined with other coupons unless explicitly allowed.
● The brand may restrict redemption on discounted or promotional items.
12.4 Fraud Protection
The Substitute reserves the right to:
● Reverse points credited due to error, misuse, or fraudulent activity.
● Suspend or remove accounts creating multiple referrals for personal benefit.
● Withhold points until COD orders are successfully delivered.
● Deny points if a review, referral, or social media action is deemed invalid or fraudulent.
12.5 Expiry of Points
● Points are valid for 12 months from the date they are earned.
● Unless otherwise specified for certain promotions or campaigns:
● Expired points cannot be reinstated or compensated.
12.6 Programme Modifications
The Substitute may modify, suspend, or terminate the program at any time. This includes
changes to earning rates, redemption value, eligibility, or terms. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of any changes.
12.7 Point Reversal on Refunds/Cancellations
● If an order is cancelled or refunded, all associated points (earned or redeemed) will be
reversed automatically.
● If redeemed points were used, the monetary value of points will be deducted from the refund amount.
12.8 Dispute Resolution
Any dispute related to points, redemptions, referrals, or rewards must be raised within 7 days.
The Substitute’s decision will be final.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of India.
